This script shows all the pictures in a directory. The pictures are sorted in date order (newest first), then if makes thumbnails for all of the pictures. It caches all the thumbnails so that your server is not overloaded. It also makes back and forward buttons so that you can go between pages of pictures. It doesn't use a database. Why would anyone need one? It doesn't support comments, again, because I don't see the need.
