Collecting information from a large group of people can be a tricky process, involving designing a custom form in HTML, or cutting and pasting responses to a group email. This new updated version of Clipboard makes it easy to design, administer and collate results of a simple questionnaire. You use a simple form to specify question text, type (tickbox, text box etc) and response options, or use XML-like markup tags. Data is captured in tab-separated format, which you can export by email as an attachment, or cut-and-paste into Excel. A few other tricks: easy visual styling via CSS, 'save and return later' option for respondents to save their draft responses, multiple or just a single question per screen with progress indicator and navigation buttons, and survey export to plain text. New in version 1.3: multiple templates, basic validation to force respondents to answer open text questions, greater customisation and improved admin/survey layout.
